1. Communication: talk
about what you plan on doing, any kind of medical or psychological
problems that may come out in the scene your going to do.
What do you plan to do?
Safe words or other communication codes?
Does the victim have any injuries to look our for, or to
work around?
Is the victim diabetic, asthmatic or epileptic? Have
any other medical problems? Have any medical needs around.
After care needs?
2. Make sure all your emergency
equipment is where its suppose to be.
EMT shears where you can reach it fast! (like on your belt,
or in your boot).
Keep water handy
Have cranberry juice for people with sugar imbalances ready.
Have any medication handy if needed.
Make sure your emergency equipment is handy and working.
Keep a blanket and towel around, it possible for body temp
to drop during and after a scene.
Know where there is a first aid kit, fire extinguisher,
and flash light are.
3. Check and clean all
your equipment.
Prepare all your rope. Make sure its clean, and no frays
or tears in the rope.
Check your ropes, remember this is the only thing that keeps
your victim secure!
Always check the equipment first, and test it on yourself.
You don't want to find the equipment
is faulty on someone who is immobile, this is extremely
dangerous to their safety!
