Corset
/ Arm and leg Bracers.
Larks Head Style
by MorTis
Needed:
1 Victim with a waist, or arms and legs,
and 20ft-40ft for arms and legs, 40-80ft waist..
There
are several ways to make a rope corset, this one is made by
using series of larks heads to create this one. You have
to experiment with how tight you can go with you rope bottom,
because rope corsets can get way tighter and smaller then
fabric corset, because the rope only need to displace a couple
inches of mass at a time, where a fabric corset has to displace
a couple feet of mass at a time.
Step
1: Take your rope, grab the tails, and work your way to the
middle to create a fold,
called the bight.
Step 2: Place the bight off centered on the back about chest
level.
Step 3: Wrap the rope around the body back to the bight.
Step 4: Take the tails, and pull them through the bight, thus
making a larks
head around the waist.
Step 5: Now wrap the rope just below the first band, going
around in the opposite direction till you get back the the
larks head you just created.
Step
6: Pull the tails through creating a new larks head, and keep
the rope very snug. The part that made up the end of the first
larks head is going to become the beginning of the larks head
for the second larks head. Pull the tail through the second
bight, and wrap around the body the opposite way.
Step 6: Now every time you create a new larks head, you want
to make it about 1 inch tighter then the pervious one, this
will cause the Corset effect, making the waist smaller and
smaller. Keep
repeating this as many times as you need too, usually 10-20
times is good depending on the size of the rope.
Step 7: When you finish pulling the tails through the last
larks head you can create, which should be around the hips.
You want to crate a half hitch or square
knot to tie and finish of the corset. You can also make
a bar wrap to use up any extra rope.
HINT:
If your rope is not long enough to make a full corset, you
can weave another rope into the first. Take the second rope,
make a bight, slip the bite through the last larks head, then
pull the tails through the bite. Then wrap you rope around
the body towards the way the larks head series is. (i.e. if
the larks head weave is on the right side of the larks head
series, you would want to go left with the rope to continue
to wrap around using that and the first part of the next larks
head.)
Alternatives: You can do this
same method to your arms to make arm bracers out of rope,
and to your legs to make leg bracers. You can also do this
to the whole body from the ankles to the shoulders to do mummification.
See Mummification, larks heads.
