Japanese Boola-boola Wench
by MorTis
A
Japanese wench....no not the women type, a boola-boola wench,
is a way to help tighten up rope when tying of to a frame,
or doing suspension easier!. When using this system, you only
lift 30% of the weight, so it allot easier to lift!
Step 1: Start off by creating a Boola-boola
restaurant around a limb, or the body.
Step 2: Take the tails and loop them around
a frame, or beam.
Step 3: Bring the tails back down, and through
the bight of the boola-boola,
Step 4: pull the tails up, which will pull the
boola-boola up, like your using a chain wench.
Step 5: When you get the boola-boola (and body
and/ body part) to the desired height, tie a hitch
and a half around all the ropes. Fin.
Option 1: In Step
3 instead of pulling the tails through the bight, you can pull
the tails through the band of the boola-boola (i.e between the
boola-boola and the body or wrist/ankle) and the go to step
4. This technically will support more weight, and you still
have the option to quickly untie the wench faster from the boola-boola
square knot!
